Your role

As a Bid Manager you manage a multi-disciplinary opportunity team (consisting of Sales, Solution Architect, Functional Domain/Product experts,…) on presales projects and you are responsible for the overall coordination of a bid.

You also help to think about the strategy-to-win, the value for the customer and our solution in response to the customer's needs. You ensure that the activities undertaken in the context of elaborating the bid are always aligned with this.

Then you make sure that the steps that happen are the ones with the best chance of success. You are strong in systematically directing / coordinating internal presales activities (elaboration of a proposal, drawing up a budget, preparing a demo, ...).

Together with the PMO, sales and domain managers, you play a crucial role in planning and involving the right people for each file. You keep an eye on the proposed budget and the man-days performed and you carefully monitor the scope and timing of the bid process, as well as being a gatekeeper to ensure that the correct checks, controls, DoA, ... are followed.

Furthermore, as a Bid Manager you are communicative and commercial and you do not shy away from customer-facing activities. You play an important role in motivating people and you ensure that all stakeholders are aligned, while maintaining the balance between the commercial and operational objectives.

Subsequently, as Bid Project Manager, you are the voice in the sales qualification board and you periodically report on the progress of presales files. From a continuous improvement mindset, you help to think about internal improvements regarding procedures, tools and templates to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the bid management and pre-sales activities – Involved to evolve, together we can make a difference.

Your strenghts;

  • You are preferably a Master or an experienced Bachelor with a comparable level of knowledge 
  • You have 3 to 5 years of bid management experience in a professional IT services organization, with a focus on Microsoft D365 and PTC solutions 
  • Knowledge of implementation within Microsoft stack and Windchill 
  • Experience with change management 
  • Insight into one or more of the following business processes: logistics, production, planning, warehouse management, sales, purchasing, finance, project accounting, is a strong asset 
  • You are communicative, customer-oriented, and you aim for added value through teamwork. 
  • You take ownership, consider quality to be of paramount importance and you realize what returns and smooth agility can mean for a customer 
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing and you have a good basis in French
